Sleeping in for once, dresses and family

Today was fabulous. Slept in which was absoultely fantastic and greatly needed, got my dress for the wedding and spent the remainder of the day at the Duncan's house. It was Jay's birthday today, so there were a ton of little boys running around screaming and Annie chasing after them while little Jane played with me.
Family. What a special thing. Is family just the people you are directly related to? I honestly don't think so. The Pride of Broken Arrow...thats a family. The cast of The Diviners...thats a family. Jay's grandparents are in town so I got to spend some time with them while i was over there. I felt so at home with them and the rest of Jay's family. I felt like I was with my grandparents instead of his. Like I was in louisiana surrounded by the people I love. Deep conversation, laughter, good southern cooking....family. I loved it.

I Wish.

I'm one of those people that would do anything to save someones life. I know what it feels like to lose someone who means the world to you. I've felt that excruciating pain. I've felt my heart being ripped apart.

I wish I didn't have a really low blood pressure. It sucks. I wish I could give blood, but I can't. Not with my blood pressure. I hate that. It makes me cry to think of all the people that I could possibly be saving. Of all the hearts I could keep from falling apart. Of all the tears I could keep from being shed.


I wish more people would give blood.

Please pray for my friend Kash. He has AML(Acute Myeloid Leukemia) and needs a Bone Marrow Transplant right away. Nobody in his family is a match and the people they find who do match up keep backing out on him at the last minute.

Sadly, I can't help him either. I don't match.

PLEASE! Pray for him.

This quote really makes one think. In some ways I feel...wrong in posting only this one today because Wiesel has said so many amazing things that I personally, think everyone should read. It's absolutely amazing that this man, who is a Holocaust survivor can think and function in the manner that he does. I'm in awe of him. I can honestly call him a hero.

Teachers

Teacher: Someone who teaches in the learning process.

My teacter: The lady who does the complete opposite of that definition.

Today South's bands went to OSSAA, a.k.a. competition.
Basically, it was horrid. Not only did my band sound terrible, but our director (is also unprofessional and immature) had a melt-down in front of the judges. Thanks a heap Pence.
